Professional Work

Here are some examples of my professional photography work.

I’m in the process of  revamping my portfolio, so this is just a little taste of some of my experience.

What’s Next…?

So, this blog was mainly for the purpose of exploring and showcasing my degree work. Some posts are final images, some are test images that I needed specifically for presentations at University. However, I have recently completed my degree (and achieved a first class honours!) and so this blog will likely develop in content from now on.

I use this link on my business cards, and so I would like to develop this blog to show more work from jobs I do.

Moving forward…
My future plans? Well, I’m working on my portfolio, and intend to showcase more professional work on this blog. My ideal situation now is to combine freelance work with paid employment in the creative sector. Watch this space!

Different Idea..

Five day images

Days one to five:

These are my final five images from my five days of shooting what I wore. They were very time consuming to create, as each block is made up of an image which I individually chose from a set and edited. At the moment I’m creating these to be one print (so each print would be nine blocks), rather than nine separate prints that would be displayed in this way, but I will have to experiment with this. I like the effect of having these images, and my idea is to have a few of these images that would represent one person. As you can see with my blocks, there’s a few colours that appear again and again, for example reds and blacks. So with this idea, it shows whilst people may well wear a variety of colours for a variety of reasons, there will be colours that are chosen frequently and stand out from the rest, in my case reds and blacks.

Days 1 & 2 grid

I’m trying different layouts of these blocks, so I’ve concentrated on days 1&2 for now, but I do have 3 more days worth of images to use. These are put into a grid of 9 images, there’s some repetition though because I struggled to get 9 images each shoot, so this may be a consideration for the future of the project.
